CDQ players fill longstanding vacancy

WACDA, the umbrella organization for the six nonprofit companies operating under the federal Community Development Quota program, has hired Aggie Blandford as its new executive director.

Blandford fills a position that came open in late 2009 with the departure of Wanetta Ayers, who now works for the state.

Here's a press release.

WACDA me now, WACDA me later. Who cares? Transparency in the CDQ world is a thing of the past. Thanks to the so-called 'Blue Ribbon Commission" it ain't ever coming back. WACDA is a propaganda organ only. Imagine how embarrassing it must be to be the head of it, that is, if you actually knew some of the finer details.

The CDQs need to be reorganized in 2012. I'm sure WACDA will support the continuation of the farce that the CDQs have been playing since 2006.

Word from Nome is that Ms. Blandford, WACDA director, has been hanging pretty tight with the NSEDC(Norton Sound CDQ) management at the North Pacific Fisheries Management Council. It's obvious where her loyalty lies. It looks as if NSEDC controls WACDA now.
