Action intensifies at Sitka

A second opener Friday in the Sitka herring fishery brought the season's catch total thus far to 7,100 tons.

What a frigging joke this fishery has turned into.

Better watch it Sitka boys, before this fishery is taken away from you.

It's only a matter of time before the insurance companies, USCG, or someone with a clear head will cancel this madness.

Looks like a lot of fun, huh.

Sure the quality couldn't have been improved with a "rational" fishery. What's the price for this stuff going to be---- less than the tendering fee, that's for sure.

cool imagery though. too bad they don't pay for that nowadays. make a movie and then change the fishery to EHS.
